Evening all… big news tonight, well kind of… Now that I have a wireless internet connection down at school, the webpage is getting finished much faster. I’m reading this great book called “A Calendar of Wisdom.” Its a collection of quotes for every day that Leo Tolstoy ( My favorite author ) put together. Since I am enjoying it so much I am going to start quoting parts of it most days here… so stay tuned and check back often….
For all of you who have not heard yet.. the Portland Fire Physical Agility Test was saturday! After driving back to Portland from the beach, I arrived early, watched the other candidates for a while, and then it was my turn… I am happy to say that I passed! So in the next three weeks I will have my final interview with the Chief of Portland and then I’ll be ranked from there… so who knows! I could be a firefighter pretty soon…
Thought I would post a picture of tonights “Search and Rescue Drill.” We were in full gear, including SCBA’s (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus). With a cover over our masks, we were in comeplete darkness… had to go into an unknown “room”.. well an obstacle course, find the victim, and drag him out.. Anyway, here’s the picture…

Portland Fire update came in the mail today! I passed the interview, and have a physical agility test in two weeks… Two more tests and I am in!
Well after more than two long months.. the fiat is running again! The inside of the car is completely torn apart, wires everywhere… the dash in pieces, but I finally found the solution!
Next project: tranmission swap…
Not much to post… but thought I would real quick since its been a while… Christmas was good… hope it was good for all of you also.
The New Year is approaching and I still don’t know what I am doing, nor do I have a date! haha
oh well…
Well Christmas time is here… like usual, I saved all my shopping for the last minute. Managed to buy every single gift except one at the same store! (and no, it wasn’t fred myers…)
Of course, I have not sent out my christmas cards yet though, those will go out monday, they are all stamped and ready, so hopefully I will remember.
Well I guess thats it, time to get this site done so I can send out the annual christmas email…
Portland Fire interview went well… 3 guys on the panel… six questions in 20 minutes… two guys seemed to like me, the other guy needed sleep I think… they’ve been doing interviews for 3 weeks!
Well thats all… won’t find out for a couple weeks…
Well nobody is really reading this page yet.. mostly cause I haven’t told anybody about it yet… But I should get in the habit of posting. Tomorrow morning is the big interview with portland fire! I’ll let all of you know how it goes…
