Back in Sokodè

August 18th, 2007 · No Comments

Chris and I are back in Sokodè for a couple days. He is posting a few pictures on his flickr account. Check them out if you get a chance.
The last week or so has been spent in his village. We were able to finally begin taking family portraits of his neighborhood so that I can send them prints when I return. Chris also spent an afternoon teaching some of the local women how to can and preserve tomatoes. You’ll see pictures of that on his flickr.
Monday another volunteer is meeting us here and then coming to the village. We hope to get out with a fulani tribesman on Tuesday for a couple nights. We don’t really know what to expect, but it should be memorable to say the least.
Saturday chris will start taking me back to lome, where I will cross the border to Ghana and make my way back to Portland!
Crazy how quickly time can fly by…
Not much else to report today as I am fatigued by our moto-taxi journey to here. Perhaps I will come back with more tomorrow…
