Several years ago I had the opportunity to meet, and later visit for a week, a group in Philadelphia called The Simple Way. They provide many different services to their community including after school programs, job training, advocacy, and more. It was an incredible experience to live with them for a week and become a part of the community.

A fire broke out in an abandoned warehouse near their community center early yesterday morning. Everybody is safe, but 8 families are now homeless and the center was destroyed.
