My first published book…

March 2nd, 2007 · No Comments

Well, perhaps not my first. When I was 7 or 8 I had a poem published in one of those poetry contest scams where they make you buy a 50 dollar book. And although my parents said it was a great poem, I know it was pretty awful. Thats alright.

But now, I’m actually pretty proud of this one. As I mentioned earlier in the week, I’ve been collecting all the scraps of paper from my trip to Hurricane Katrina and I have put excerpts from my journal together with pictures into a book.

Hurricane Katrina - A Look Back...

Here’s a pdf preview of the first 15 pages if you are interested…

Blurb.com allows you to put together your own books and self publish them. It’s a pretty easy program to work with, and once you’re done you just hit order and it comes in a week or so.

If you are feeling like you have some extra cash in your pocket and want to order a copy you can do so here. It’s somewhat expensive at $30, but none of that money goes to me. Printing individual books can be expensive. If I had the money maybe I would order a bunch and get a much better deal, but I don’t. You can always just check it out from me if you like.
