An interesting day it was. An unanticipated guest on the dock this
morning, and a great show this evening.
Woke up early, decided to stay in bed and watch a movie though. When I
finally went outside the boat around 11am, I stuck my head out to find
a Sheriff in my face! Quickly running the past few days through my
head, I decided I had nothing to worry about. Fortunately he was just
doing some “community service” work down on the dock, checking current
leakage from boats!
Tonight though was a blast. After the weekly fire meeting I traveled
downtown to the 23rd story of the Hilton. Apparently there is a lounge
on the top story. Wednesday and Thursday nights is live jazz music.
All improvise, kind of a “open-mic” of local jazz artists. I’d
recommend it to any jazz lover in the Portland area!
Well its late, long day tomorrow, until then…
